Is this too high of a temperature or is this normal where it should be around? Thanks. I agree you probably do not have the hsf installed correctly. If you are maxing out the CPU then no, that’s not so bad but from the looks of it you’re not using it very much so that’s about 40C too high!. Is this too hot or is it normal?. But still more cpu runs at 50C at stock speeds. You need to get some compressed air and blow your laptop out, its probably dirty. 35V but thats all. Ok, you probably knew that already, but we are actually talking about the unit overheating at times. Turning the i5 back down to stock speeds keeps the temperature below 60C and the game has NOT CRASHED ONCE since doing so. 8, plus 32… that’s 140F to 160F. I feel like that is too hot for such little load on the system. My XP 2200 hit it's highest ever temperature this week - it really warm and humid here and I overclocked the system so that it was equivalent to an XP2500 just to play Doom 3 and I hit 51C after about 2 hours playing. (This is nominally the processor temperature, but I don't know where the sensor is: it is not a junction termperature within 'core' of the CPU, as on latger P4 and 'core' CPUs, but it might be a discrete sensor inside in the CPU 'can'). 4ghz) CPU-Z is showing ~990mhz constantly, no matter how high load there is on the cpu, and what temperature it is (usually around 50-60C). Amd Phenom II 955 running too hot Sign in to follow this. CPU Temperature - what is too high? - posted in Brunos All Things Linux: Installed VL 6. The case temps are fine but the processor is running between 50-53c with WinXP loaded, around 60c with some load, and around 69-71c if I run [email protected] maxing out the CPU at 100%. Applets like Core Temp, AIDA64 and HWiNFO tend to show fairly accurate AMD CPU temps in the 60C-70C range according to AMD Engineering. The top card is hot enough though at 80C that I can't touch the side for more than a few seconds. That is way too hot. I have an i7-2600k (not overclocked with stock HSF) and a SSD. thats too hot. 3 Thats pretty high for an non delid cpu and wel get hot. Is 95 degrees room temperature too hot to operate a 360? Xbox 360 The CPU in my computer is idling at about that right now. 60C would be a good temp but if you're not maxing out your processor with very cpu intensive programs then that temperature doesn't really mean a whole lot. So getting a high temp probably isn't that suprising, I'm constantly running a 24/7 Server on the game Unturned, which is rather demanding while also playing the game on the same PC. The CPU temperature while browsing the web has been 60-70C with 4% usage. is there a way to cool a hard drive down without having to spend any money on other fans. The dual 9800GX2s are actually making the case of the machine too hot to touch in places. AT TS fix vcore at about 1. Fan Control. When I turn the fan off on my cpu heatsink and my processor climbs to, say 50 or 55C, my heatsink feels very warm. If it is, clean the fins on the CPU heatsink, and all the blades on all the fans. When is hot too hot for a CPU? 60c seems way hot for a northwood id say its ok for a presscot they run hot anyway but northwoods are usualy the cool chip. So what happens is that when I start up at about 60C, the system has already passed the threshold of manual control and makes use of a built-in automatic fan speed adjustment.
